Local Charities Benefit From Ratoberfest Event
PADUCAH, KY -
Beacon Dragway kicked off Ratoberfest Friday afternoon with a car show, live music and powerful jet-trains driven by K C Jones.
Ratoberfest is an annual charity event, now in its fourth year. Beacon Dragway opened the gates for two days collecting suggested donations for admission. In return, visitors got to view rat rods, hot rods and other vehicles in the car show. It's also a swap meet for many car owners. Anything from cars, parts, stories and lies get swapped over this two day event.

WINDOW TINT UPDATE!!!
From NHRA Rule Book, Section 4A page 6
"Windshield/window tint must meet the applicable state requirements."
We at Beacon Dragway will follow this guideline, and hopefully this will put the Window Tint debate to rest. There are reason behind this rule, first and foremost is Safety. The Staff and Safety crews need to be able to see inside the Racecar at all times. Sometimes a Driver will forget, seatbelts, chin strap, or even their helmet. We want each and every racer to be as Safe as possible when competing here. The State limit for Kentucky is at 25% tint. See following :
"A sunscreening material may be applied to the windows if, when tested on one-eighth (1/8) inch clear glass, the material has a total solar reflectance of visible light of not more than twenty-five percent (25%) as measured on the nonfilm side and a light transmittance of at least thirty-five percent (35%) in the visible light range."
We appreciate everyone's understanding & help in making Beacon Dragway, a safe place to race.
